Angela Browne-Miller, PhD, DSW, MSW, MPH, also known as Dr. Angela, is author of over forty books including: HUMAN INTELLIGENCE IS A RESOURCE: TOOLS FOR OUR LEARNING (tentative title, forthcoming, 2012); DRUGS IN THE WORKPLACE (tentative title, forthcoming, 2012); REWIRING YOUR SELF TO BREAK ADDICTIONS AND HABITS (2010); TO HAVE AND TO HURT: SEEING, CHANGING OR ESCAPING ABUSE (2011 as Ebook, paperback 2009); RAISING THINKING CHILDREN AND TEENS (2011 as Ebook, paperback 2009); WILL YOU STILL NEED ME; FINDING FRIENDS, LOVE AND MEANING AS WE AGE (2011). Dr. Browne-Miller is also the Set Editor of the INTERNATIONAL COLLECTION ON ADDICTIONS (four volumes, 2009) and the VIOLENCE AND ABUSE IN SOCIETY SET (four volumes, 2012). Dr. Browne-Miller is Director, Browne & Associates; Director, METAXIS INSTITUTE, Founder, ADDICTION STOPPERS, has been keynote speaker at conferences around the world on intelligence and learning, learning technologies, performance, workplace issues, behavior change, aging, women, addiction, violence, abuse, and the workings of the human brain and consciousness. She earned two doctorates and two masters degrees at the University of California Berkeley where she lectured in three departments for fourteen years and now teaches in the university extension; served as National Institute of Mental Health Postdoctoral Fellow, US Department of Public Health Fellow, and Research Education and Treatment Director for the Cokenders Alcohol and Drug Program. "Dr. Angela" (as she is also known) has worked with hundreds of organizations on a range of policy, program and clinical issues. She has also worked with several thousand individuals on personal issues such as addictions, aging, violence and abuse, domestic violence, learning/education/career issues, and more.
